Personal Statement

Ever since I was a kid, I was accustomed to hard work and being very dedicated to the task at hand. When I began college, I started off as a chemistry major at Butler University since I had enjoyed that particular area of study in highschool. As I continued through my collegiate career, I began to consider other majors and found passions in both computational programming and computer graphics. As a dual major transferring into IUPUI, I faced difficulties with time managment for two majors as well as the difficulties faced with learning some of the more complex components behind each major. My enjoyment of computer science got me into being a teacher’s assistant for some courses as well as tutoring several students to help them better understand the topics. My experiences with teaching others as well as working a few jobs in the past have aided in the development of my leadership and management skills as well as my patience to help others.
